Dr.APJ Kalam ignites young minds at Children’s Science Congress
Eminent Scientist, aerospace engineer & 11th President of India, Dr. APJ Kalam, inaugurated the Children’s Science Congress on 04-JAN-2013 held in conjunction with the 100th Indian Science Congress at the SN Bose National Centre for Basic Science , Kolkatta
Times of India reported – For the next hour and a half, he held centrestage, triggering adulation bordering on hysteria. Kids and adults were equally mesmerised. Designed to accommodate 3,000 delegates, the tent was bursting at the seams as thrice the capacity packed into the makeshift hall for a glimpse of the icon who sports silver locks and utters “golden words”.
Kalam made young minds say
“Knowledge makes you great. Dreams transfer into thoughts. Thoughts result into action.“
Kalam spoke into the microphone and a chorus of 10,000 voices followed suit in perfect synchronization.
“Knowledge = Creativity + Righteousness in the Heart + Courage.”
